About Gracetree
Gracetree began with a tree.
"He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season." (Psalm 1:3, KJV) We kept coming back to that picture: something rooted and slow, still standing when the season turns. It seemed like the right ambition for a home, and for a shop.
We believe the earth is a gift of grace, and the home is too. A home is not a showroom to be perfected. It is soil. Faith gets planted there and quietly tended, at kitchen tables and in reading chairs. The things in a home can help with that tending, in small ways, and small ways are the ones that last.
That belief reaches the cupboards too. Caring for creation is part of keeping a home, so alongside the verse goods we carry a few well-made things that replace the disposable version: cloths that outlast paper, wraps that outlast plastic. The oldest instruction in the book is to tend and to keep (Genesis 2:15), and we take it to apply to kitchen sinks as much as gardens.
So this shop exists for Christian homes. We say that plainly, without apology and without a wink. And the door stands open to anyone who walks past it, seeker and skeptic alike.
Here is the honest shape of us. Gracetree is a small Canadian shop, run from a home like yours, and nobody here is a theologian or a silversmith. We design some of what we sell. Our apparel and our verse mug are our own work, printed one at a time after you order them. The rest we curate: pieces from suppliers whose samples we order first and live with before we list anything. We are careful readers of Scripture and careful choosers of things, and that is the whole resume.
A few commitments hold everything together. Verses appear only in translations that belong to everyone, the King James Version and the World English Bible, and always with book and chapter named. We do not do novelty, and we do not do guilt. We follow the church year rather than the trend cycle, which means some things arrive when Advent does and retire when it ends.
Our hope is small and specific: that something from this shop ends up in the middle of a real morning, holding coffee or holding a page open, while grace takes root a little deeper in your house.
